Diese Regierung in Kenia ist alles andere als wünschenswert. Am 21. November hielt Präsident Ruto eine Rede zur Lage der Nation. Die aktuelle Lage in Kenia ist alles andere als rosig. Es gibt immer noch Fälle von Entführungen, Korruption und widersprüchlicher Wirtschaftspolitik. Um es ganz deutlich und ohne Umschweife zu sagen: Ruto fährt das Land gegen die Wand. Es gab einen Aufruf, gegen die Rede von Präsident Ruto zu protestieren, aber niemand kam. Ruto tat dies geschickt, er sandte versteckte Drohungen aus, die den Menschen Angst machten. Er sagte dem Obersten Gerichtshof, sie sollten seinen Entscheidungen keine Einwände erheben. Das funktionierte! Keine Reaktion vom Gericht! Bei den ersten Protesten wurden mehr als 60 Menschen getötet (die genaue Zahl kann nicht ermittelt werden, die US-Botschaft schrieb 90, es könnten mehr sein), während einige Organisatoren später gefangen genommen wurden. Human Rights Watch berichtete, dass die Polizei Menschen festnahm, folterte und sogar tötete, die Proteste gegen das Finanzgesetz anführten.

This government in Kenya is anything but desirable. On November 21, President Ruto gave a speech on the state of the nation. The current situation in Kenya is anything but rosy. There are still cases of kidnapping, corruption and contradictory economic policies. To put it bluntly and without beating around the bush, Ruto is driving the country into the wall. There was a call to protest against President Ruto's speech, but no one came. Ruto did this cleverly, he sent out hidden threats that made people afraid. He told the Supreme Court that they should not object to his decisions. That worked! No response from the court! During the first protests, more than 60 people were killed (the exact number cannot be determined, the US embassy wrote 90, it could be more), while some organizers were later captured.  Human Rights Watch reported that police arrested, tortured and even killed people who led protests against the finance law.
