Africa Summit Moscow

Russia-Africa Summit concludes with around 150 agreements signed
A total of approximately 150 documents—including trade contracts and agreements between media outlets—were signed on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa Summit, the Kremlin announced. These include 53 intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents, a military cooperation agreement between the Russian and South Sudanese defense ministries, and cooperation agreements between Russia’s state nuclear corporation, Rosatom, and relevant authorities in Rwanda, Togo, and Uganda. It is important to clarify that this figure encompasses not only intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements (of which there were 53) but also various other documents, such as trade contracts and agreements between educational institutions, news agencies, and commercial organizations. Specific areas covered by the signed documents include: Education, medicine, trade, transport, and agriculture; Sanitary and epidemiological welfare, as well as customs matters; Military cooperation (for example, the agreement between the Russian and South Sudanese defense ministries); Collaboration between Rosatom and relevant departments in several countries (Rwanda, Togo, and Uganda); An action plan for the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum, extending through 2029; Declarations—including one regarding cooperation on the civilian application of artificial intelligence technologies. At the concluding joint press conference—held alongside the Chairperson of the African Union and other heads of state and government—Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the agreements reached will be implemented systematically, supported by long-term cooperation mechanisms. 2026-10-31
