Strike of Kenyans doctors

The strike of Kenyan doctors is still going on. Hundreds doctors and other medical practitioners protested demanding better pay and working conditions in an ongoing nationwide strike that has entered its fifth week.

Patients do not got any treatment. They have waited for a long time and they just had to leave without any medication.

The doctors chanted against the Kenyan government, saying it had failed to implement a raft of promises, including a collective bargaining agreement signed in 2017 after a 100-day strike during which people died from lack of care.

The patients has been left without access to essential medical services.

The government and striking doctors are likely to record a settlement signifying the end of a nationwide strike that's lasted for close to two months.

Appearing before Justice Byrum Ongaya, Advocate Ochieng Oduol the lead counsel for the office of the Attorney General (AG) said they have made progress and filed in court two reports.  One is the return to work formula between the government and the Doctor's union and the second one is between the county governments and the unions.
