Burkina Faso's President Ibrahim Traoré Rejects Salary Raise

Burkina Faso's President Ibrahim Traoré Rejects Salary Raise
This action is truly unusual. The President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré (37), has rejected a salary increase, emphasizing his commitment to the country's citizens. Just last year, Ibrahim Traoré was kind enough to reduce ministerial salaries by 30%, but instead increased workers' salaries by 50%! Traoré stated that his total assets amount to 340 million Tanzanian shillings (approximately US$129,000) and that he would continue to receive his regular salary as a captain in the army. His decision to refuse a salary increase is in stark contrast to the actions of some of his predecessors—not just his predecessors, but all other presenters are included—and signals a new era of leadership. This can only be supported! @udakuspecially
