Election campaigning in Kenya
It's funny to watch politicians struggling and putting on a friendly face for a sinister game. The last presidential election in Kenya took place on August 9, 2022. William Ruto was elected as the new president in that election. The next election will be in 2027! It's 2025! Just to make sure we're all in the same year. The election campaign has begun. President Ruto is traveling around the country trying to please everyone. He's clearly forgetting that he's barely accomplished anything in his two years as president. He hasn't achieved much, if anything.
The euro is also being linked to land grabbing. How does Ruto defend himself against these land grabbing claims? First, an example: in Kwale, he was linked to the purchase of land with rich mineral deposits. In other contexts, Ruto has focused on his efforts to secure Kenyans' land rights and promote development in various regions, such as the issuance of over 1,600 land deeds in Kilifi. Anything could be true, and it was, but it has nothing to do with land grabbing.
President William Ruto, then Vice President, sued seven people, some of them senators, who had accused him of land grabbing.
Ruto declared himself a decent and law-abiding citizen. Who doesn't say that?
He added that no one had ever complained to the authorities about him or the land circus.
