Germany signs working agreement with Kenya

Germany has agreed to allow 250,000 skilled and semi-skilled workers from Kenya to enter the country as part of an agreement on controlled and targeted labor migration. In Kenya, it is becoming increasingly difficult to offer young professionals work and a sufficient income, and there is a shortage of skilled workers in Germany. As part of a pilot project, five Kenyan bus drivers have already been welcomed in Flensburg in northern Germany. Migration agreements are a central pillar of the federal government's efforts to curb immigration. The agreement is also intended to facilitate the repatriation of Kenyans who are in Germany without a residence permit. Given the increasing support for the right-wing extremist, anti-immigration party Alternative for Germany (AfD), immigration is currently a major issue in Germany. In recent years, the various Berlin governments have allowed a relatively high number of asylum seekers to enter the country. Germany took in over a million people during the 2015-2016 refugee crisis, most of them fleeing war in countries like Syria, and since the start of the large-scale Russian invasion in February 2022, the country has taken in 1.2 million Ukrainians. What is not addressed here is the fact that the President of Kenya, William Ruto, cannot or does not want to create jobs in his home country, instead he is using modern slave trade, selling the blacks to Germany, he doesn't care where, just get out of the country.  At the end of 2023, there were about 3.3 million refugees and people seeking protection living in Germany. The integration of these people is often difficult. Many experience language barriers and are faced with a complex administrative system, which can affect their chances of asylum and integration. Around 31% of refugees are minors, and many have lived in Germany for over six years.  In 2024, about 174,000 asylum applications were submitted through August, indicating that levels remain high. About 2.809 million people were registered as unemployed, a significant increase compared to the previous year, when the number of unemployed was 2.617 million. Economic weakness has had a negative impact on the labor market, leading to a rise in unemployment during the summer period, which is above the usual seasonal level. At the same time, the number of vacancies decreased to 703,000, a decrease of 69,000 compared to the previous year. So the question can be asked here: what is the point of this agreement?
